Grease is the word...

I'm in Grease!!!  If you don't know, that is a musical...O.O me in a musical?! Who'd have guessed? =P  See the profile pic? Isn't it cute?!

It was actually pretty cool, because I'm not in the musical theater class, and you're not supposed to be in the show if you're not in the class, but I emailed the teacher and she's letting me in the chorus and in Beauty School Dropout!!!  I'm so excited :)  Another funny thing is that Zach, Robert, Jenny and I are going to Texas Tech tomorrow to see Ryan (Robert's brother, Zach's best friend)'s girlfriend play Sandy (the lead female role) in Grease!  How cool is that? (very cool =D)

Well, I don't have many details right now, but as soon as I do I'll let ya know!  Oh, and by the by, Julie Keys is the stage manager! If you haven't met her yet you should!  She comes to our church on Sundays...yay Julie!

Well, guess that's about it!  Love to all! Go out and seize the day!

Come one and all to see Keller High School's amazing production of the classic musical Les Miserables!!!

It is going to be a fantastic show, it's only the third longest running production ever to be on broadway!...not to mention my oh-so-talented sister (Bree) is in it!

The joy of reading...

Of late I've been reading this book that Zach gave me entitled Traveling Mercies- Some Thoughts on Faith by author Anne Lamott.  I hope to give a full report on it when I'm done, but for now I would like to give you just a small excerpt.  Enjoy!

          He was  about the first Christian I ever met whom I could stand to be in the same room with.  Most   Christians seemed almost hostile in their belief that they were saved and you weren't.  Bill said it bothered him too, but you had to listen to what was underneath their words.  What did it mean to be saved, I asked, although I knew the word smacked of Elmer Gantry for both of us.

"You don't need to think about this," he said.

"Just tell me."

"I guess it's like discovering you're on the shelf of a pawnshop, dusty and forgotten and maybe not worth very much.  But Jesus comes in and tells the pawnbroker, 'I'll take her place on the shelf.  Let her go outside again.'"

 

Now that is cool.  Go and make the day brighter...don't forget to love. <3

I feel like making a list today

1. Bowling yesterday was tons-o-fun!

2. World of Warcraft is the best game ever! I'm already a level 16 priest!

3. I think I'm becoming a nerd

4. Countdown to DBU: 12 days.  It's a bitter-sweet thing.  I am really excited to start a new chapter of my life...but I'm also really scared.  I know I just have to give it to God, but I'm having trouble with that. :(

5. Zach desperately needs to find a new home for his dog! She's the cutest little sheltie and very well behaved.  If you're at all interested please let either him or me know!

6. Speaking of Zach...He's the most wonderful boyfriend ever!  Love you sweetie :)

7. Brad's message on Wed. was awesome. Props to you B-rad!

8. I love my family, really they are just so awesome

9. I am now driving a green mini van...I would have never thought...

10. Sometimes we have to do and say things that we know must be done or said, even though it hurts us or someone we care about.

11. This weekend is tax-free so everyone go out and buy stuff!  Oh, also there's a huge Beatles art exposition at North East Mall this weekend which you should totally check out!..if you're into that sort of thing.

12. Jason comes home on the 11th! Yay!
